These shimmering silk hair scrunchies are carefully handmade using a bundle-dye technique to create one-of-a-kind natural patterns and colours on the fabric, and then hand-sewn in my home studio. They are about a medium size.
They are big enough to tie around a pony tail twice or once around a bun. They also look pretty neat on your wrist!
Batch #03 was created using safflower petals, wild sweet peas and walnut husks. Natural dyeing fabric is a slow craft that takes time; time to prepare the fabric, gather flowers and plants, bundle dye, steam, wash, and to cut and sew the products. These products are made with intention and care, not with machines and nasty chemicals. Due to the delicate nature of silk, please be gentle with this scrunchie. Hand wash with a delicate soap if needed.
Natural dyeing is like "living colour" they say. Please be aware that colours may fade or change tone. Such is the natural beauty of plant dyes.
